EMERGENCY CONTACTS

Throughout the Northwest Territories, police can be called by using a local phone extension (the first three digits of a phone number) and 1111.  For fire or medical emergencies, use any local extension plus 2222.  In Yellowknife, for example, emergency numbers are 873-1111 for police and 873-2222 for fire/medical emergencies.
